How common are credit report errors?
Mistakes do happen, and when they happen on your credit report it can be costly! A study by US PIRG (a national consumer watchdog organization) indicates that as many as 80% of credit reports contain at least one error, and as many as one fourth contain an error serious enough to result in the denial of credit.
