How do I get negative information off my credit report?
If the negative information on your credit is accurate, it just takes time. (See "How long does information stay on my credit report?" for more details.) If the information is inaccurate, you have the right to dispute it with the credit bureau which is reporting the information. The Credit Dispute Assistance section near the end of your online credit report lists contact details for each bureau.
